"Keep in mind, despite having an octa-core CPU, the lack of Cortex A-73 cores makes this a mainstream SoC at best, which fits the price point well. Other devices in the same class like the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) have more raw CPU power due to another component choice. In practice you won't see the same difference as clearly as in synthetic benchmarks and once you compare their behavior in daily use, the Lenovo should feel better than the Fire because 2 vs 4 GB memory makes a world of difference."
It was slow to respond, the low percentage of the time it actually did.
Any reason to expect this to be any better?

Thanks, I also bought the m8 as a home hub, but will return it for this. I hadn't realized how useful a tablet would be at home untik this.

I will be the fourth person to second this 🙂
Lenovo warranty is a joke. Buy a Lenovo product if you don't worry about warranty. I'm going to stay off of Lenovo unless they sell something at 90% off 😁
- Android 10 support being rolled out: https://support.lenovo.
- Known issue where Netflix cannot play in HD, but aforementioned Android 10 update upped Widevine version, should allow workarounds like this patched Netflix app [github.com]

The Nest hub responds faster on "Hey Google" commands. The speaker on the Nest hub is also better. Overall, the Lenovo Smart tab isn't a replacement for Nest hub.

Yes, but not everyone wants to invest the time or has the drive to do that
