Took me a while to find a straight comparison of this tablet to the Fire hd 10.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Lenovo/c..._fhd_plus/
"Keep in mind, despite having an octa-core CPU, the lack of Cortex A-73 cores makes this a mainstream SoC at best, which fits the price point well. Other devices in the same class like the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) have more raw CPU power due to another component choice. In practice you won't see the same difference as clearly as in synthetic benchmarks and once you compare their behavior in daily use, the Lenovo should feel better than the Fire because 2 vs 4 GB memory makes a world of difference."

I bought the smart tab M8 with dock, expecting it to be a more flexible alternative to the Google nest hub.

It was slow to respond, the low percentage of the time it actually did.
Any reason to expect this to be any better?

I wanted a tablet with Google Assistant's Ambient Mode for my kitchen so I ordered a yoga smart tab when it went on sale for $150. Seems like this is better in every way minus the JBL speakers. Does Lenovo offer free return?

There's ways around that
Still limiting despite using firetoolbox or side loading play services. Try using certain banking apps such as Chase on a modded Amazon tablet. You can't. You'll also get on quite a few apps, "This app is not compatible with this device" in the play store. Or that the app may not be optimized for the device. Then it's hit or miss.

I also had a NVR app that stopped working on a fire hd tablet that was installed from play store after the devs/vendor updated their app in the play store. Been 6 months and after several updates, still don't work.

Fire tablets are still a great deal when they have the promos, and for majority of people work great, but for better compatibility with play store apps, this deal probably better.

Just getting ready to get a Samsung Tab A7 deal! Time for emergency research on this tablet, but from what I'm reading so far that even though this Lenovo has more RAM it still may be sluggish next to the Samsung as far as graphics go. Hmmm...

This app is not compatible shows up on several Android tablets that I own. I am able to install still. If it doesnt work with the tablet, it won't have an install option.

Yeah, the Sammy A7 10.4 is the better tablet but I noticed the $150.00 sale is over.

Still seeing it at BestBuy for $150, but after the HiSense TV fiasco I went through a couple nights ago I don't want to give them my money anymore. I'll get the 64g Costco version.

I picked up the Samsung Galaxy A7 32gb version directly through Samsung, trading in a 2016 Galaxy Tab A with S pen for $56 shipped.

The big plus for the Lenovo tablet is Google Play Store. With the Fire you're stuck with the Amazon App Store, which I personally dislike. I'd go with the Lenovo one...
It takes 5 mins to install Amazon toolbox on a P.C. and flip your fire tablet to a android tablet, with play store. Also removes the ads, for free.

It's not on the list of supported devices. So most likely not, but stranger things have happened.
