"Keep in mind, despite having an octa-core CPU, the lack of Cortex A-73 cores makes this a mainstream SoC at best, which fits the price point well. Other devices in the same class like the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) have more raw CPU power due to another component choice. In practice you won't see the same difference as clearly as in synthetic benchmarks and once you compare their behavior in daily use, the Lenovo should feel better than the Fire because 2 vs 4 GB memory makes a world of difference."
It was slow to respond, the low percentage of the time it actually did.
Any reason to expect this to be any better?

I mainly got it to use to control wifi devices and maybe play some music and such and leave a video playing like pluto music videos
and randomly it will minimize the app

Still limiting despite using firetoolbox or side loading play services. Try using certain banking apps such as Chase on a modded Amazon tablet. You can't. You'll also get on quite a few apps, "This app is not compatible with this device" in the play store. Or that the app may not be optimized for the device. Then it's hit or miss.
I also had a NVR app that stopped working on a fire hd tablet that was installed from play store after the devs/vendor updated their app in the play store. Been 6 months and after several updates, still don't work.
Fire tablets are still a great deal when they have the promos, and for majority of people work great, but for better compatibility with play store apps, this deal probably better.

This app is not compatible shows up on several Android tablets that I own. I am able to install still. If it doesnt work with the tablet, it won't have an install option.
