For me, this tablet has been my perfect couch companion allowing me to control my philips hue lights, check my wyze cams, stream spotify to my soundbar, consume media etc etc. A tip I would suggest is to use swift key keyboard, or any keyboard that let's you split it in half to use your thumbs in landscape.
Also depends on whether you have a Prime membership and plan to get one of the Freetime-bundled Fire tablets for kids. Those can be worth it depending on how much use they'll see. We had a strict 30-min daily screentime for our kids until 2020 got here. But it's hard to have any rules this year.
