Haha I know I love how all these crappy hubs say 4K output in reality it's only doing 30hz and slow as dog shit. Only true way is to get an actual dock if you want multiple ports and at least 60hz refresh on 4k

Total before tax:$27.19 after clipping coupon. $2 more than this deal, but 4K @ 60hz with PD.

Even plugging the USB ports in to power got nothing, I would have settled for power maintenance, but no dice.
For an ultra book, this is probably great. As long as you have a separate port for power available.
NOT a "Charger" hub.
And not a "Dock."
A "Dock" is even more useful than an Adapter, and often has Charger capability, as well as Advanced Video support.
I don't know why people are still confusing hub types in 2020. Its not like USB is brandnew. Adapters come in all shapes and sizes (from tips of a plug, to hubs like this).
Need power? --> Charger
Need connectivity to/pass through data? --> Adapter
Need multiple ports? --> Adapter Hub/Charging Hub
Need wide-range of ports, advanced video & maximum capability? --> Dock (Advanced Hub)
4k 30p is perfectly fine for artwork & business files.
But you may want to look at docks, like the Dell Dock, if you need better video + power + multiple data connections, all maximized. If it supports 100W, 10gbs USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 or 40gbs Thunderbolt, its pretty much maximized. Although it might have PD or something else but not QC, etc, so check your devices power charging standards (Samsung phones take Qualcomm).
This device is just basic.

I bought this one and it's working perfectly.

HDMI is pass thru if you have a supported usb c/thunderbolt connection. This means it uses your laptops gpu and lower cpu compared to some others.
Works great with my dell xps 13. But stopped using it for ethernet as a full time dock because of how warm it gets. It is metal so it does dissipate heat ok.
The ethernet is fine for occasional use or travel.
