There is currently no plan to add the support for Onemesh on the C4000,

While many routers come with some level of security, the TP-Link's Archer C4000 goes above and beyond. A three-year complimentary subscription to TP-Link's HomeCare platform comes with the router, so you'll get powerful Trend Micro network security, Quality of Service (QoS), and age-filtered parental controls. The system goes so far as to quarantine affected devices, ultimately preventing a virus from finding its way into all of your gadgets. Besides its security factors, it has fast throughput speeds and is great at making large file transfers.

As a standalone router this one will better. I bought a Nest and will be returning it and getting this one. Unstable 5 Ghz on the Nest and bad range. 2.4 Ghz speed is underwhelming. It chooses very bad channels and you can't change it, you just have to restart the router multiple times and hope it gets it right.

I think he meant this one Linksys MR8300 Mesh Wi-Fi Router (Tri-Band Router, Wireless Mesh Router for Home AC2200), Future-Proof MU-MIMO Fast Wireless Router https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L928...UTF8&psc=1

MR8300 has 2x2 radio for both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz bands vs the TP link here which has 3x3 radios. But the MR8300 is Qualcomm based and for that price it's a steal and can be extended with mesh if needed. TP Link C4000 uses a Broadcom chip and can't be extended with mesh. Can't go wrong with either option.
