I bet the ones at Brookstone worked.
Are you just going to leave us hanging like that? Was it a fully functional lightsaber as portrayed in the movies or not?

It's been this price for weeks. I am waiting for it to drop lower before I bite. $12 or $13 would be ideal!

I used to work at a Sharper Image store back around 2000. We had a life size stormtrooper and other stuff. In a case we had a light saber handle that was sold for a stupid amount of money. I was asked not once, not twice, but three different times by people who were totally serious - they wanted to know if the light saber actually worked and would cut through things. Just another reminder that idiots walk among us.

I was gifted a Luke Skywalker light saber from some company (Master Replicas, I believe) that was about $400-$500 when I got it around 1998 or so. I can confirm that many people would see it displayed and asked me the very same thing. I later sold it on eBay for enough to buy a used Mazda.

Well now you can point them to Hacksmith if they want a real working saber.
