Minor distinction worth noting: SVS direct Black Friday pricing for new PB-2000's was also $600 - any cheaper PB-2000 from them would have been outlet B-stock/returns (with or without blemishes). Good deals if you were able to get in on them, but if not, $600 for new from an authorized dealer is still a solid deal.
Just an FYI, as far as I know you don't get the 45 day "free trial" unless you buy direct from SVS.

As others stated, the SB-2000 was $499 for BF/CM. It is also now that price on Amazon:

I have a PB-1000 and I would like to upgrade but I hate the speaker cover on this model.

Definitely recommend the PB2K over the SB for $100 more, especially if you also watch movies.
