Damaged goods sale, basically. Genuine, but no way to tell they're genuine after the fact so your kitchenware will look bootleg. Pass.
Doesn't look "bootleg" at all in use. Depending on product quality ordered (packaging damage vs second quality) the box might look bootleg but the product looks the same.
Of the 5-6 D5 pieces I've ordered (both qual types), only one had a discernible defect. It was a ~1/8" ding on the inside of a saucepan that was circled with an orange marker to be super obvious. The other pieces have had no visible defects.
If there's no way to tell if they're "genuine," how would it look "bootleg"?
I used the wrong words, sorry. I meant no way to verify that they're genuine by just looking at the product. You'd know they're genuine, but let's face it, 1 of the reasons people buy All-Clad to flex on their cooking friends, and the friends won't necessarily think they are 🤷 ♂️

Maybe you got lucky. I can only go by what the official description on the site says.
Look, I have no doubt this stuff performs well. I'd rather pay for a factory pass article. If you have a 20% off Bed Bath and Beyond code you can get $400 off a 14-piece All-Clad copper set anyway, which brings the average price per item down to ~$125.

They perform the same as 1st quality All-Clad, and as you admit, don't look different from 1st quality All-Clad.
How would your friends even know unless you tell them?
And if your friends actually care about this issue, find better friends.

"They don't look different" is false. From the site itself:

So yes, the official description does in fact say they look different. It's possible the ones you get don't, but there's no guarantee they won't.
As to how your friends can tell the difference: same way anyone can spot fake Jordans or I can tell someone bought a base BMW and threw some rims on it to make it look like an higher trim even through they took the model tag off the car.
No one buys All-Clad because they don't care about brand and product status. That's literally what you're paying for when you get them.
I'm not saying your friends would tell you they know you bought a reject item, because that might be rude. But they'd know, period.
Also, as I said you can get a factory pass 14-piece set for $125/piece (over 50% off for most items) from Bed Bath & Beyond after a 20% coupon, so there's not really much reason to get factory seconds IMO.
This is the BMW/Mercedes/Porsche of cookware, bud. Not Toyota. People in that kinda circle are gonna notice, even if they're too polite to tell you they do.

Search SD to see all previous FP posts for these all-clad sales. This is not new. It is official product and many have purchased with 0 issues found, including myself multiple times. Everything has been new. Some of the listings even specify "packaging damage" as the only issue, which I've ordered and the packaging was fine too. Stick to those if you're worried about damaged goods, but this has never been the case in the past.

You insecurity is showing.
They have stopped marking their seconds. I spent a few hours at their tent sale in Washington PA a couple of years ago, and didn't see any markings. Go into any of the copious All-Clad threads in SD and see if anyone got anything that's marked as a second.
No one will know unless you tell them.
I for one don't care about the brand name, and no one in my circle of friends would be impressed by the All-Clad name. If they offered the same exact products at the exact same prices but without branding, I'd choose the unbranded stuff. Same goes with everything I own.

Having ordered from this site many times (It is run by all-clad), all of the items are 100% legit. Sometimes its a factory second, sometimes its packaging damage. There is no difference between these items and the items being sold at full price. I struggle to even find the flaws in any of the pieces purchased from this site.
