Don't judge me but at first I thought you meant both sets (LOTR+Hobbit) for $120 and I would have purchased in a heartbeat. I'm a huge LOTR fan (see username) but I can't justify paying $40 a film cause let's be honest, I'm never going to watch the theatrical version.

I did add the 'each' in there. Yes, $40 for each film is huge but these have been all sold out, so some people still looking for these at the msrp.

Okay yeah I thought it wasn't there at first haha. Oh it's still a good deal especially if you can sell the digital copies. I'm waiting for next summers releases though

Yeah, digital codes are going for $30-$45 each set but that is too much hassle. I am waiting for the 2021 release too Smilie

Yup. I've had this username since the ps2 days of star wars battlefront 2 (so 2007ish). It was a mix of Aragorn (LotR) and Eragon (Inheritance Cycle books). I haven't read Eragon since 2008, but kept the spelling cause it's unique haha.

6 films.. theatrical and extended of each of the 3 within the trilogy. So thats $120/6 = $20 each film/version.

But I got the LOTR and Hobbit 4K sets for $64.64 each by buying them in a Target Buy 2 Get 1 free deal...so I got both LOTR/Hobbit sets for $89.99 and got a game for $89.99 which makes my total $193.93 or $64.64 each item. Totally worth it making each movie $10.77!

It is $40 a film. $120 per set... in a corrosive container.

Well as I said...I picked up the regular sets.. non corrosive and at $64... so I take it as a 4K version of FOTR, TTT, & ROTK theatricals. That's 3 movies. 4K version of FOTR, TTT, ROTK extendeds. That's 6 total now. And 4K versions of those 6 in Digital. That's 12. $64 รท 12 = $5.33 each. Each disc, each digital copy whatever etc. Well worth it to me considering how many movies I've bought physical for $7.99 - $12.99 and then bought the digital copy later once available for $5 to $14.99.

I'm sorry if you're not a true fan lol

Haven't watched these since the DVD released. Hope all 6 will be $60 or less sometime next year. Was close to getting the Blu-rays, but glad I waited.

Ha I really don't think you can count theatrical version and extended version as 2 films to justify the cost per film. Just say you're a super fan and it's worth it to you at the $40/film price. It's totally fine!
