I mean I am a superfan but it's not worth buying the $120 sets.

Which is why I got the regular $89 sets at $64 lol.

You're not making a very good impression in regards to your IQ currently.

I separated my sentences, so perhaps you may understand better.

I think WB would have been better off releasing these trilogies in separate years. It's an expensive ask for fans all at once.

I may be in the minority but after reading the book again and then watching the movie, I feel that Fellowship of the Ring Extended Version movie is actually better than the book. I can't say the same for the other movies though.

Well as I said...I picked up the regular sets.. non corrosive and at $64... so I take it as a 4K version of FOTR, TTT, & ROTK theatricals. That's 3 movies. 4K version of FOTR, TTT, ROTK extendeds. That's 6 total now. And 4K versions of those 6 in Digital. That's 12. $64 ÷ 12 = $5.33 each. Each disc, each digital copy whatever etc. Well worth it to me considering how many movies I've bought physical for $7.99 - $12.99 and then bought the digital copy later once available for $5 to $14.99.

I'm sorry if you're not a true fan lol
What kind of wacky math is that? Getting 9 copies of the same 3 movies is still 3 movies.

The Hobbit sold out and not LOTR? Lol. Those movies were objectively terrible.

LMAO. thank you for the laugh, good sirr. Any way you look at it, it's still 3 movies, regardless of how many discs or formats it came with. At this point, these two sets are not for the faint of heart and only for diehard fans in order to justify the $40 per movie purchase. I'm a steelbook collector AND a huge fan of LOTR, so price tag is not an issue for me.

The amazon version is not the steelbook. Still a solid deal if you don't care about the steelbook.
