The inaccuracies are on the part of the reviewers, from what I see. One review stated the picture shown (of a pied crow) was not a crow. But it is. They may not be native to where the reviewer is from, but it's still a crow. My only hesitation in buying these for my granddaughter is that they won't arrive until after Christmas. They look like beautiful, quality books. I think I'll get them for her birthday in April. Thanks op.

If size matters...The Baby Einstein books are only 2.5 inches tall, the books in the OP's post are over 4 inches tall. I love the Baby Einstein books, but was surprised at how tiny they are.

The First 100... series from Roger Priddy are far from perfect, but have far fewer critical errors than this set. This cheaply produced set is akin to those weird knockoff t-shirts you see in some foreign countries meant to look like domestic U.S. products (but significantly missing the mark).

Good luck!

Yea... no. Those books are way too small and will likely get lost in no time.

There really is no defense for these books; their editorial choices are problematic because they aren't sufficiently universal. These are from an Indian publisher and are likely best suited to the Indian domestic market (note the Amazon reviews from India). Compare with Usborne, a UK domestic market publisher who still produces English-language children's books that manage to be sufficiently universal (about the biggest American English stumble I've caught in the collection we own was the labeling of Baja California as South California... which always has me asking "do English-speaking countries without a strong Spanish-language influence as in the United States often attempt translations?").

The price is attractive and I can hear the refrain "they're just for babies" but really doing better isn't much harder or more expensive.

Good luck!

I have these books at home for my kid.
Pros:
1) the only books I found which have realistic simple pictures for babies to understand. Most of the other books get too artistic and hard for kids to identify the figures

Cons: (nothing major)
1) they are bit small and pages are bit thin, however nothing of major concern, they have survived for months around a toddler..
