That's funny that you mentioned the inner liner. I was actually looking at the exact simple human trashcan and did not like it because of the lack of inner liner. The HDX does have the inner liner, which is a plus for me. I can easily wash the liner if it gets funky and more importantly, I just take the inner liner out, with the bag still in there, to the garage and remove the full trashbag into the garbage bin. I dont have to worry about the bag breaking in transit to the garage and dont have to marr the stainless steel and carry the extra weight to the garage.
