I don't understand why this is so hard for some to understand.

You can get 8t+ for free by either 1) adding a line OR 2) trading in an eligible device on the list.

It's very simple.
It doesn't help that "some" TMo store employees are entirely ignorant to current promotions.
I went in store about an hour ago to trade a OP7t. I literally pulled up the OP8+ 5G listing on the TMo website and showed her the details. She pulls out a piece of paper and tells me the only way to get that deal is to open a new line. I was in no mood to deal with a rude TMo employee and simply said "good day" and walked.

Got on the phone with TForce supervisor who did the deal for the trade in of the 7t for the 8+.
Would rather have turned in the 7t in person and left with the 8t but the low information TMo employee made that impossible.

You could also just ask the CSR to do the transaction. The system will pick up the promotion. If not, T-Force is there to resolve it later.

Forgive my ignorance as this is the first time I have ever done one of these trades.

I see this in my bill,
"Once your new 8T+ 5G - Lunar Silver - 256GB ships, you'll have 30 days to send back your current OnePlus HD1907 7T 128GB Silver - T-Mobile in good condition to receive a one‑time bill credit of $110.00."

How is the difference between the $110 and the $750 I am supposed to get as a trade show up? I assumed there would be some mention of future month credits.

Buy a s9 for 200$, trade in s9 for 8t. Sell your 6tv in after market for 100-150. It's pretty much free then. At least you future proof yourself for the next 2 years

I'm in the same boat and I'm doing this right now..
But how long is the promotioon for?

When they receive your trade in, you will see a $110 Credit on your account. The remaining $640 will be split in 24 months. Your bill will increase by $4.58 ($110/24)

I have a 7t that was purchased from tmobile. It was on an EIP and is now paid off. The phone is flashed to the international ROM to take advantage of the dual sim. Would there by any issue trading it in with the the international ROM on it or should it be flashed back to the tmobile ROM?

I guess I answered my own question.

I just took advantage of this deal. I purchased an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 off of Swappa for $200 earlier in the day. I did not have to add a new line, just simply notified the TMobile rep that I wanted to take advantage of the 2020 OnePlus Trade P3 (Promo Code T418). After a few minutes of her verifying my eligibility, she jotted my IMEI of the device I was going to trade in and I had to submit a docusign contract stating that the remaining balance would be covered by their EIP for 24 months. The whole call took 30 minutes.

Thanks for posting this! I was able to talk to T-Mobile today. Since I just switched to them 1 week ago, they got creative with my bill, added two lines and credited them just so my wife and I could get this deal on our OnePlus 8Ts. Much better than the 50% off deal we signed up with a week ago!

Were you able to the IMEI# from Swappa for the S9?

Please post if you find something out.

Messaged again to t-mobile and the first person must not have been aware of the promo. Second person said I could trade in s9 and not have to add a line. They said I should do it online to avoid the $20 service fee.

Yes, I simply messaged the seller in Swappa for the IMEI number.

Anybody who has purchased online, did T-mobile require you to input the trade in phone IMEI at time of purchase? I need to acquire an S9 for trade, was wondering if I need the phone in hand before I can buy the new one.
You don't need to have the phone in hand since you have 30 days to ship it but you do need the IMEI to input while placing the order.
