I'm not sure if it's clear to everyone that this deal applies to all the Breville espresso machines that Williams-Sonoma sells.

Here's the rundown:

Bambino — $240
Bambino Plus — $320
Barista Express — $480
Barista Pro — $560
Barista Touch — $720
Oracle Touch — $2,000

Fantastic deals, in my opinion.

My personal experience is with the Bambino Plus, which I think is a great little machine. With this discount you could pair a Bambino or Bambino Plus with a very nice grinder for a total price in the $400 to $600 range. The cool thing about that is you're going to be able to get a much nicer grinder than the one that they put in the Express and the Pro — which is considered the weak link in those particular machines. You're going to hear the experts say again and again that the key to getting good espresso is a nice grinder. I've also never been crazy about having the grinder and the espresso machine combined into one unit. It sorts of limits your flexibility, but that's just me.

Really though, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these machines. It all depends on your budget.

This might be the cheapest price ever. Hoppin on this before it goes, will research afterwards lol.

Edit: The Touch is Wirecutter's upgrade recommendation. The steam wand is top notch and that's something I've had issues with in the past with other machines, so I'm sticking with it.

I know it is a ton more expensive, but anyone have thoughts on the Oracle Touch?
I've had the Oracle Touch for 4 years. Yes, tons more expensive, but worth it for my house. Husband is not super tech savvy so I need a machine that works for him. Grinds & tamps perfectly. Machine turns on at hour I set. The steam wand is the best frother on the market in my opinion. Doing the math, the OT paid for itself in 9 months vs daily coffee shop runs.

Any unexpected maintenance in that time? Thanks for your feedback.

Thank you. I've got back and forth for 6 months on various super automatics, but I find a lot of people really think the OT is best all around. The slightly more manual process is suppose to provide better reliability, and this is one of the few machines that people say makes legit froth.

Nothing unusual, but you do need to maintain. Purchase extra cleaning tablets & Steam Wand cleaning powder. My steam wand was not creating good foam & I finally figured out how to take apart & clean. Super easy. Rinse machine after using per instructions. Recommend YouTube videos on cleaning & maintenance. All machines eventually require manufacture maintenance to keep running as parts can wear out. My last machine (another brand) I sent in 2x for big maintenance & after 16 years I replaced with the Oracle Touch. If I get 10 years, I consider it a big win due to overall annual savings vs. purchasing espresso drinks at coffee shops.

Used the dual boiler for 4 years. LOVE that I can make espresso & steam milk at the same time.

How's the express been treating you? Would you recommend it?

Just remembered that my tamper malfunctioned once & separated from the machine. Small panic...called Breville support and they walked me though a relatively easy fix. Probably a YouTube video on that now.

A new Breville Bambino from this deal or a used Gaggia Classic? Recommendations?
get the bambino, you'll eventually upgrade to something better. these two are equally good but i'd prefer a brand new machine.

I'm pretty sure I didn't. Look again. That deal was for 3 models... with the Express being one of them

Ordered the Barista Pro. It's an updated model from the Express. $594 shipped. Faster heating, more grinding options, newer frother/steamer wand, LCD display, new placement for hot water spout, better build.

If I am an espresso noob- is the touch convenience a must over the express? For example, the bean being ground and into the right amount for a shot.
No the touch is really only more convenient for the Milk frothing which it does incredibly well and it's pretty much automatic.

The grinder is just good enough but you'll be using the very lowest settings and a scale to get great shots!

For any of these machines a quality scale is critical! Not all scales are equal and you need one that can measure to a tenth of a gram, like the Brewista scale (probably the best for the price)!

Once you measure your grind by mass and then the pour by mass, you'll get far more tasty and consistent shots out of all these machines! This is the level of control that a super-automatic does not offer! A 2:1 recipe works well for the Barista Touch, but for Lavazza we get even smoother chocolaty notes with their recipe on the bag 15g grinds for 25g liquid in the cup!

I tried using my Barista touch for a month and almost returned it because flavors were all over the map, but the Brewista scale changed everything!

I've loved my touch ever since....and it paid for itself in 1.5 years and now I still enjoy every morning!

Key benefits of the Breville Touch are super fast startup time, excellent frothing, auto purge, ability to saved settings for people, self cleaning process & on screen instructions, etc.

Cons are the grinder (just adequate, use the very lowest setting), & water heat level (barely adequate for espresso; put it on MAX in the settings).

The code is also applicable to Barista Pro. It comes down to $559.2 (same price if you were lucky to get %20 extra discount at BBB)... + More colors here
