I'm not sure if it's clear to everyone that this deal applies to all the Breville espresso machines that Williams-Sonoma sells.

Here's the rundown:

Bambino — $240
Bambino Plus — $320
Barista Express — $480
Barista Pro — $560
Barista Touch — $720
Oracle Touch — $2,000

Fantastic deals, in my opinion.

My personal experience is with the Bambino Plus, which I think is a great little machine. With this discount you could pair a Bambino or Bambino Plus with a very nice grinder for a total price in the $400 to $600 range. The cool thing about that is you're going to be able to get a much nicer grinder than the one that they put in the Express and the Pro — which is considered the weak link in those particular machines. You're going to hear the experts say again and again that the key to getting good espresso is a nice grinder. I've also never been crazy about having the grinder and the espresso machine combined into one unit. It sorts of limits your flexibility, but that's just me.

Really though, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these machines. It all depends on your budget.

This might be the cheapest price ever. Hoppin on this before it goes, will research afterwards lol.

Edit: The Touch is Wirecutter's upgrade recommendation. The steam wand is top notch and that's something I've had issues with in the past with other machines, so I'm sticking with it.

They don't say anything about touch in that video. Where do you see that touch is more prone to potential break?
they talk about touch at the end; basically stating its mostly a gimmick feature. for the purposes of this deal, the real value is the express. I've had the express for about 5 years now and even after watching this video in full feel it's the best overall value in the line up. of course if you already own a high quality grinder then the value proposition is lower and you may get away with the lower end machine aka infuser.

Is the quality of espresso equal for bambino vs express? Is the big different just that one has grinder and one doesn't? Thanks!

THANK YOU OP! You saved me $100! I just ordered a Breville 870XL from a different place online. Will cancel that order because I just got this one for a much better deal! Thanks!

My delonghi eletta cappuccino top super automatic makes such a great espresso. These machines like the breville in the higher price range just make coffee that's noticeably better. If you are in the k cup, nespresso camp just ignore the initial cost and get any of the ones mentioned in these threads!

I decided to just try it on the Pro before reading more on this thread. Glad I did. I waited too long researching everything on the SGC deal and they were sold out of everything.

Out of the box the Express comes with both pressurized and non-pressurized baskets for the portafilters, so the pour will be better using the non-pressurized basket. The Bambino only inbcludes the pressurized basket in the box. You can go buy a portafilter/non-pressurized basket combo which will equalize the quality along with whatever grinder you get to go with the Bambino.

I decided to after researching all the amazing YouTube videos that SGC put out. The Pro heats up faster, so you'll be done making your drink faster with the Pro. While this video wasn't made by Gail, who is my favorite on reviewing machines at SGC, gives a good overview of the differences. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtOb_QtNRVM

Touch is still a 54mm portafilter? Really looking to get in a standard size at some point. I don't think I can justify this to myself over the express I have had for years.

Just remember that it is pretty much impossible to get parts for Breville products when they discontinue this down the line. Also when something happens to that screen it's essentially going to be a paperweight.
Can you not send it in for repair as others have said?

May be i am missing something ? Why would one pay this money when some delonghi super automatics are in this price range now. If u fund a deal, i would buy one of those. Own a magnifica super auto for 6 years now. The only thing I replaced is the pump after 6 years. 27 bucks.. Happy with it. not seeing the value in this breville . touchscreen?

fark, I have the 870XL now and I am in no need to upgrade but at this price... wow.

I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to dip their toes in the water. these machines are very user friendly, lots of room for error, and comes with everything you might need except a knock box for used grounds.

I stop using my knock box since my machine is now right next to the trash can
