I know this is always a question with "buying" from digital services, but I feel like it's more important with something this expensive. I'm assuming if Vudu shuts down you just lose the content completely?

Might check out "Vudu Credits" on eBay. They have some that are $2 for $5 and you can use 5. Just have to use them before the end of the year. Makes the deal sweeter.

Is the picture quality difference between Vudu streaming and Disc noticeable? I bought the Disc version, but hate the inconvenience of having physical discs.

Potentially. In all actuality, they're more likely to be bought up by another service before going out of business, but there does exist the possibility that they could go under without a buyer and you lose access to your purchases. Of course, that's true of any digital platform.

I know, but that's exactly my point. Either Fandango will eventually be bought for billions by someone else as a matter of consolidating digital distribution/streaming services, or they'll flounder and be bought for only millions. Hundreds of millions, likely, but not for as much. Very few digital distribution models for games or shows/movies disappear entirely. The Ouya is one of the few that definitively failed and went away as far as I know, purchases being lost to the digital ether.
