Steps for Google GSuite users.
This offer only works with the lastest beta version of GPay. However, the latest version of Gpay does not work with GSuite users. You can create a new personal gmail account or use one you already have.
When you get the prompt that this version does not support GSuite, choose the option to switch accounts and enter your non GSuite gmail. Once installed, add a qualifying credit or debit card to Gpay then activate the Target $21 offer and make sure it's attached to the card.
The new Gpay app will have a seperate icon so make sure you are going to the right Gpay app.
Follow the link to Target or just go to Target.com and buy something $50 or more and checkout using the attached credit or debit card. I bought 2x Home Depot cards at $25 each. Once checkout was completed, I got the reward confirmation immediately on the app.

Referral $21 - while supply last, Exp 1/1/21
You and referred friend must opt in for GPay rewards
new account
Friend makes a qualifying transaction of $10 or more. after friend makes $10 payment to a friend, both you and your friend get $21
So the one who signed up - if he /she didnt make a payment to a friend - no one gets $21 for referral.
send money to a friend OR Make contactless payment IN STORE NFC - Contactless - if you paid on line, or in store not with contactless, seems it will NOT work!!
APP SAYS: target need to find offer, activate on app, use link to target.com ok - lets see how quick will show credit.
My concern:
Why are they asking for so much personal info? address, cc, bank, ID? -
Think if you want google/gmail to know so much about you.
1) Today I signed up again using a referral link someone had sent me and opted-in for rewards in the app. Enrolled a payment card that google already stored.
2) Activated target promo
3) Purchased $51 worth of gift cards in store and paid using contactless payment (NFC using google pay)
4) Target rewards triggered within the app immediately. Referral reward did not trigger (probably because I am not new to google pay).
Also can you by Target GC that ship to you instead of e-GC?

At the register, just unlock the screen (don't have to open google pay app) and place your phone close to the pin pad/register. Your screen should automatically change and show you a message that the payment was successful.

so for $21 I allow google to have my name, address, bank info, credit card info, transactions info?
everyone cool with this?
I paid the person who referred me, who had previously sent me $10 to fulfill his bonus requirement. Didn't get anything to claim the reward though like I saw on his phone.
Do I need to keep all these 3 Apps or I can just keep one to pay/send $$$, pay at store-NFC etc..? Which App(s) I should keep? Thanks!
