Do NOT use Paypal or anything other than the "Credit Card" option during checkout folks. Using any other form of checkout even funding it via the same credit card is not the same. Make sure you use the same credit card that you enrolled on your Gpay account too.

I bought $100 apple GC from target and see the reward show up right after. Refer my wife the link and she also bought the same deal, seeing $21 reward right after too. But we did not receive the referral reward. What did we do wrong?
Refer terms: min $10 transaction of sending money to someone OR contactless NFC purchase in store using GPay app (Android phones w/ NFC only)

If you made a Target purchase online then it won't combine

Pay/send $10 to each other using a debit card (instant) or bank account (few days) and you should get it

Why send $10 to each other (other you dont want to give your spouse $10 lol)? You would only have to have the one who got referred send the $10 correct?

Are you saying you see it pending but not in the wallet? The target $21 takes 30 days to clear and actually be available to withdraw

This was going well, 3 out of 4 for me, not sure why last $21 didn't go through. Neither my wife or I had used Gpay app before (but had used Googlepay). Signed her up on the app and referred me, I signed up on new app and sent her $10. We both immediately got $21 reward. I then purchased on Target ($59.99 xbox card) and I immediately got that $21. Then tried to do the same on her own Target account, bought another $59.99 xbox card, but did NOT get the rewards from that. There was one difference though, my purchase I clicked the link right from Gpay app on my phone that took me to target site, Her purchase we bought from Target.com on a PC as that was easier at the moment and I made sure to use the card that was activated/link on her Google Pay.

UPDATE reward showing up now. So two $59.99 xbox cards - $84 in rewards= $36 for two years worth of xbox pass (combined with current xbox upgrade), big money savings for me. Big thanks to OP and all who helped.

If they both used a reff link to sign up then they both need to do it -- if his wife only used a link then only she needs to send him $10

Figured everyone here is using a link to sign up in the first place

Yup everyone but me duh, lol, didn't even think. I first quickly searched online for some quick easy to use referral code (since you cant do it via slickdeals) and didn't want to ask around friends for a referral. Didn't come up with one that seemed to work, so I had a the bright idea I'd just sign us both up and one refer the other than do the Target thing twice, didn't even consider that there was yet another possible $21 reward if done right and did find another referral.

No, I mean to talk about the friends referral credit. We should have gotten two seperate $21 each right? One for spending at target and the other for friend referral.

Got $21 reward after 2nd $51 target order.
didn't get anything after 1st order.
Why are people doing $51 for gift card instead of $50?

Got it, so just paranoia that $50 won't meet a $50 requirement.

And Samsung Pay just going down the drain with its rewards program getting sunset... Is it that Google Pay is forcing that hand?

It's so stupid how Target does their processing, but this might be a reason why you're not seeing your reward.

Given that you:
1. Activated promotion
2. Linked an eligible card (my was Double Cash back CITI card)
3. Pay using the card online or in-store (does not matter how you use the card, i.e. card or google pay/apple pay/etc.)

Given above, the promotion should work fairly quick. I saw my transaction from Target almost right away in the app, but did not see the promotional reward. Okay... today is the next day and still nothing. I checked my Target receipt/email and I found that under $50 (like $45) was charged from Target and the other $8 (in cart, that made my total go above $50) was from a 3rd party selling through Target. Not only was shipping separate, it also register the charges separately too. My guess is that because one of the item was "sold by ... (not target)", even though my cart total was over $50, the transaction from Target was less than $50 and therefore not qualifying for the award.

To confirm, I just purchased a $50 gift card for target. Literally closed the app and opened it back up and I see the reward pending. Not even a minute from purchasing gift card on my computer to reopening the app. So, obviously, different vendors seem to affect the promotion. Double check that you're not adding something to cart that's not sold by Target. I didn't know until I looked into it today that one item has under its price, "Sold and shipped by eForCity"...
I wonder if purchasing multiple items that ship separately from Target would cause split payment as well (i.e. Prepaid wireless card on sale for $45 + $5 Target GC).

I just signed up today through a referral link and bought the $50 gift card through Target, I could see the $21 for the target purchase. However, I did not see the $21 sign-up credit.

Does anyone have any idea how to check if you get the $21 referral credit?
