They do work if you can follow the activation procedures you find in the many threads on SD about Tracfone SIMs. My experience is that the ATT sims activate and transfer between unlocked phones without problem. My Verizon compatible SIM would not activte. Customer Service said the SIM could not be used on my new Verizon prepaid phone. She could activate a new SIM, but not the preloaded SIM. I am now avoiding Verizon service on phones not purchased from Tracfone.

I have no problem with Verizon sims so far. Current service expires Oct 2026 and just ordered two more

Had this issue in august/september. They fixed it but I had to spend quite a bit of time with chat with tracphone to get them to fix it.

Anyone know how long we have to activate these?

I used one in august and I don't want to try to add it to my existing one until it gets close to the end in case they mess it up and I lose the remaining time I have left on my current plan.
