This is the AX21 (fixed ventilation), not the AX20

I have this router and I'm happy with it. I have 30 clients (including IoT devices) connected to it and zero issues. Stay away from Linksys routers. I had EA9500 which I paid almost $300 3 years ago and Linksys is not patching (security/bug) the firmware. Linksys is famous with abandoning their routers.
Regarding your first link, while the specs are the same, the Walmart unit is the older AX20 model, which I've read is susceptible to overheat issues. This one is the updated AX21 model, which has improved ventilation and additional encryption options.
We're all ears. If you're going to throw shade, at least do it constructively and provide your alternative recommendations.

Do you know if this particular router can enable wisp mode?
I can look it up, you said you had it though, figured I'd ask.
TIA

It's $89 on Walmart site

However I've read the AX3000 is a much better router For $30 more. See here:

If supports the AP mode, but I haven't tested it. I have another really old router that I use it as AP to extend the wireless coverage for my outdoor Christmas lights. Their connection were dropping often and the AP mode old router is working for the holidays Smilie that being said my TPLink is my main router. It has great coverage, the outdoor Christmas lights are really far away so that's not TPLink's issue.

Would everybody recommend this or the Costco deal that was available for $99 earlier this month?

Thanks! I have a bit of an odd set up, but may be able to make it work with this router.
I have another tp-link outdoor ap router that I'm currently using in wisp mode to basically piggy-back off a different router, but this may be a more viable solution for me.

I didn't see that one in the article. The only one they have is $70 more.

If you're going to spend $100, don't you want something better than the T-Mobile/Asus AC1900 that can do 1300Mhz on the 5Ghz band and went for $30-50 many years ago?

No expert but I think the Costco deal is the way to go. Especially because if you don't like it just return it. You could buy both and see how each does in your home.
