It won't work. You need to have a NJ PSEG account and as others have said, it's two limit for the lifetime of the account.

I did a rebate with my power company for the Ecobee. Couldn't get the thing to work past 4 days for the life of me... hours on the phone with support nada. Now I want to try something else. THx OP!

Excellent price. However, this thermostat doesn't work with the temperature sensors and is a huge deal breaker for me.

I got a different model, but turns out I don't have a c wire... I don't want to pay someone to run a new common wire, and I tried to figure it out myself, but just couldn't get it...

FYI, this one requires a C wire as well. I've tried it without and it ends up turning off the wifi connectivity when it turns on the furnace to conserve the energy in it's battery. Wifi will turn back on when the temperature is reached and the furnace shuts off. But you essentially can't control it remotely while the heat or AC is on.

I got a couple of the rebated Nest E a year or two ago, but for poops and giggles I tried to get a couple of these and it let me. You may want to give it a shot even though you got some previously.

I honestly don't know if there's any advantage to this one over my Nest E but two for $40 after taxes is a steal.
