yes it is glossy.
The primary reason to get this laptop is because of its extremely light weight and thinness, and that's a good reason for many. Battery life is also phenomenal. The 1080 screen is great as well, above average for most laptops.
Drawback is it has last years CPU. It's an average performing laptop, but that's pretty good these days. Don't plan on doing any serious gaming on it, even with an external GPU. CPU will throttle down due to heat.
I have one of these and love it. Just got the Gram 17 for my mom.

Faster cpu + gpu = heavier = $600+ gaming notebook. At the same price as this lg gram, you'd get a i7/i9 + 1660 nvidia if not better in a gaming notebook sale. But that's 5lbs+.
....
Lg gram is 2-2.5lbs (depending on model).
2-in-1 notebooks under 3lbs with Tiger Lake Intel cpus are out. 35% faster cpu vs 10th gen, mx350 level gpu.
But this sale isn't targeting Faasst!
It's targeting Ligghhhhht!
Only thing lighter would be the 634 gram Fujitsu 13" in Japan in an ultra light laptop, but the lg gram is the lightest for a 15"+.
Lightweight to the point where one handed open carry isn't even dangerous ,) Doesn't even feel like it'll fall out of your hand unlike heavier notebooks.
...
Costco is REALLY nice for extended warranty on these.

Yes. I have 17 inch and it's best overall laptop I've ever used.
it just fees a bit too much, but an LG gram is one of the few exceptions i would say is acceptable if thats what u were lookin for, as its a high quality machine with very good battery and i think display

The only time I game is on my desktop so going to spend the money there on a GPU.
I just want a good deal on 15.6" laptop that is lightweight with a powerful processor.
