What a load of unscientific nonsense. The whole argument for why BPS is better than BPA isn't because BPS is less bad on the body, it's because BPS is believed to leach out of plastic at much lower rates than BPA due to it being far more stable when exposed to heat and light. Therefore, the amount of BPS ingested from a plastic bottle would be considerably lower than that of BPA. It's no surprise that the leaching factor of the bottles wasn't tested in any way in those studies. Instead, they just dosed various animals with BPS and said 'look, bad things happen.' As it turns out, over 88% of our exposure to BPS comes from receipt paper and other paper products so you best not touch paper or all of your efforts to stave off BPS will be for naught.
If you have never tried one of these, they are bulletproof. They do not leak, easy on easy off lid, and built to last years. I have been using them since the 80's in all my lunch and tool bags. No, they don't keep things hot or cold, but they keep them wet.

These are amazing bottles. Probably the best plastic ones you can buy. Made in USA and lifetime warranty. Basically bulletproof.

I've only ever used mine to carry water and the taste of the water has always been "off" as long as I've used it. I've tried using baking soda in it to clean it. Have you had any issues like this or have recommended cleaning methods?

This lid makes drinking from the bottle much more convenient. Granted it cost more than the bottle, but well worth it.

I've heard from friends to use water and a couple drops of bleach, shake and let sit for about an hour and then rinse well. If you're afraid of bleach like me, I have used bottle bright tablets.

I dont know... the wide mouth lid gives me the feeling of drinking from a glass which is what i prefer rather than drinking from a bottle. YMMV.

The substance used in these BPA-free plastics is bisphenol S (BPS) and marketed as Tritan is supposedly a worse offender when it comes to estrogenic leaching and is known to cause harmful brain and reproductive effects. Read up on this and stop using plastics especially for frequent beverage consumption. Best to go with stainless steel bottles like Hydro Flask or others.
