Thanks for the effort OP. I'll be waiting for when Costco has a manufacturer rebate later on in the 2021 year to buy it. If Amazon matches it to something along the same lines then I'll buy it from them.

I ended up getting this because I have Amazon gift cards to use and I can't buy the bundle with a gift card because Amazon doesn't let you use a gift card to buy a gift card.

Any difference in the download vs disk ver in terms of sharing? Are there multiple installs for the download version just like the disk ver? I normally let other family use it after installing and filing my own.

I actually had to amend a return that was a few years old and needed the software from that tax year to reopen the file. Finding the download for a previous version turned into a hassle. Since then I have bought the disc version. Just stick the disc in your tax folder when done.

the disasterous plan for the gov to quit taking out ss taxes for military and fed employees (deferral) for a few months is ending today and they will be collecting it back (catching you up) over 4 months in 21. there will be amended forms sent out. i wouldn't file until last day possible or until you get all that crap worked out or you will be amending your return.

"The 2020 Internal Revenue Service W-2 Wage and Tax Statements will be issued in January. A W-2c Corrected Wages and Tax Statement that includes the collection of deferred Social Security taxes in 2021 will be issued for those whose Social Security taxes have been deferred."

Just an FYI for those folks who still have Win7 or older, TurboTax won't allow you to install unless you have 8 or 10. Came as a shock to me.

Yea Win7 had its end of life Jan 14, 2020.

You should be able to use online tax software like credit karma and free tax usa with a updated browser on Win7 computers
