Its $43 people with a two year warranty. Not sure how easy that warranty works with lowes but heck buy two at this price doesn't seem like a bad idea if it last two years.
Doesn't even have to be 60v. Milwaukee's 18v blower puts out more CFM than this gas craftsman's one.
Milwaukee's 18V Hedge Trimmer can last hours on a single battery. They did something right - don't know what it is - but man that little clipper goes and goes.
I have the Worx plug-in for the occasional time I need a blower. Sold off my Gas mulcher/blower on Craigslist even though it ran fine - I hated the smell of gas on me after using it - stinks. No need to shower after using an electric one.
Next one I buy I'll get a battery one that has big CFM ...
This is one of those rare cases in which I still prefer a powerful corded model and a few extension cords.
Same here, everyone seems to think the only options are gas or battery.
I have a (at least) 25-year old corded electric, changed the brushes on the motor a couple times over the years. Can't see the need to keep gas/oil around for the purpose of running a loud and smelly gas blower. They are already being banned/phased out some places, due to pollution.
echo 8010 not just for pros
I clean up leaves for 30hours a year or so..
that blow is crazy.. almost overkill.
These cheap crapsman tools are tempting but after my Dad's trials with 2 different string trimmers.. never buying one. I bought him a 5 year old used echo from 2nd hand shop
and its worked longer than both his new craftmans .. about 5x longer and still going.
And he can work on small engines and tractors.. these are just junk.
Anyone know the lowest percentage lowes will drop the price? There are over 200 of these around me all at $49. So I can wait a while for the price to drop more.
I have this blower and bought at $99, i can never keep it running for more than a few minutes. Not really sure what's wrong with it but i've changed the fuel filter/line and the carburetor, and nothing has brought it back to life. Would not recommend it

Does the carb have fuel mixture adjustments? Usually they're labelled with an H for the high side and L for the low side. Sounds like you need to adjust the fuel mixture to either lean it out or make it richer. Unfortunately, lots of these newer lawn devices are made to be impossible to adjust. I often revert to a slim pair of needle nose pliers to grab ahold of the end of the needle to make slight adjustments.

My store marked their Black and Decker stuff down to 90% last month. It varies by sku, but I think craftsman is now a B&D brand, so probably 80-90%.
OP jumped definitely the gun on this, as these will no doubt go lower.
That means nothing because Craftsman has never made their own blowers. Their power equipment has been made by virtually every single other brand out there and just has craftsman stickers on it.
Has craftsman ever actually made anything? Even their oldest hand tools were made by another manufacture and then rebranded with the craftsman name just like now when the newest sears incarcerations are mostly made by apex tools and all the "new craftsman" stuff at lowes & ace hardware etc. Being just rebranded Stanley tools. I really can not recall one single item that craftsman has ever manufactured themselves. They're simply just a name/brand used for marketing
How many batteries do you need to equal the yard clearing capacity of two quarts of gas in an afternoon?
Not to mention that with battery blowers you don't get to piss off your neighbors as much by making a major racket while needlessly moving leaves from one place to another.

The Milwaukee M18 Brushless is half the power of this small gas powered leaf blower. No 18,20,24volt electric blower is going to come close to the power of the tiniest of gas blowers.
25cc 2 stroke gas powered
430cfm at 200mph
Milwaukee M18 Brushless Blower
450cfm at only 120mph
CFM is just how much air it can pump out. The MPH is the speed of that air or the strength of the blowing force. A 5mph breeze from the wind is moving a million CFM and it doesn't do crap. You need strength or MPH to accomplish moving debris. The Cordless blowers are all using Axial fans that suck. Radial fans are far superior but take a lot more energy to run, something a cordless doesn't have. They have to compensate for the poor axial fan performance by keeping the discharge chute short and with a large mouth. Axial fans can't build pressure so they can't blow though a small opening. Radial leaf blowers(virtually all gas) can build pressure and allow for a long tube that generally ends at the ground and can have deflectors/nozzles to help direct the flow.
OTHER HUGE ISSUE WITH BATTERY!
The specs are only for when the battery is fully charged and fresh. The performance is more than halved by the time the battery is dead. So you start out with 430cfm/120mph for the for 60 seconds and it quickly goes down hill. A 5ah will last you around 8-10minutes so by the 6-7 minute mark you're lucky to get 200cfm at 60mph.
Gas powered is full strength 100% of the time.

Where do you live? I want to move there. Working from home, my annoyance with the sound of gas blowers has intensified.
