If you don't need to use it monthly--you can let yours expire and then add the new one when you need to start downloading transactions. I did this last year and was able to download at least 90 days of PREVIOUS transactions--so that would give you 15 months vs the 12 months. Yes you would go 3 months (or how long you wanted according to your bank's limitation) without being able to download. I will do the same this year when my expires. Most banks allow at least 90 days of previous download capabilities.
I also don't really need premier. Can you "downgrade"?

A membership can only be extended in the last six months of a subscription term. You can extend a subscription term by redeeming an activation code in a retail copy. However, this also can only be done in the last six months of your current subscription term. Therefore, multiple terms cannot be purchased and used at once to extend a membership. Retail purchases: Activation codes expire 24 months after being generated.
So I can purchase this now and then apply the code when I'm within 6 months of my subscription ending. Yay!
thanks!
