I picked this up yesterday after a day of shopping for the right school laptop. I went with this one because of the solid build quality, the camera has a built in privacy slide, and the usb-c charge port. I was pleasantly surprised by the built in stylus and the lack of bloat ware installed. I was interested in the $700 Gateway laptop at Walmart Linus tech tips on YouTube was talking about a few days ago because it had a 2060 but it wasn't available when I checked the last few days. https://youtu.be/kRAGtV-WpIg
How is the screen on these laptop?
I have a L490 series as my work laptop and its got a 720p screen that really sucks!!!
I am looking something sturdy for personal use...

I still have a similar model from two years ago. Run, don't walk, away.
-Build quality and QA was shit. Bent chassis on a new laptop. Had to mail it in. Six weeks later, it came back with the same bend and it looked like it had been dragged against the pavement repeatedly. Took months of arguing with support and rage tweeting the CEO to get a replacement.
-Replacement had the same problem. Bent chassis that created sharp corners that made me bleed. Replaced again by Lenovo.
-Third Laptop (a higher end mea culpa from then) was great at first. Only took six months to get! But after two years, the fingerprint reader has never worked, screen is too dim, and I've broken the screen twice. (One was my toddler's fault, the other is a mystery. Note that I've had a dozen laptops and never so much as dented one - this thing is FRAGILE.)
Compared to my old MacBook Air, which I still miss, it's a lemon. That thing was six years old and still perfect when I lost it.

We've had this exact model for a few months, for the kids' school work, and have been very happy with it. Well built, runs well for what it's used, and the convertible and built-in pen is great. We paid $699 since we needed a laptop at the time and I don't regret that -- I think $599 matches a previous FP deal and historical low.
Though note that Lenovo is starting to sell Gen 2 of this L13 Yoga, with 11th gen Intel Core but otherwise identical from what I could tell. I.e. you'd get the better Iris Xe graphics and slightly improved CPU performance depending on use case.
