Activated it with a new number. Gonna give it a few hours then call in to get my account info for port out and jump on this deal.
I also just checked Tmobile, Verizon, and AT&T websites for port out eligibility and they all confirm to be good to go so I'm assuming Fi is good for porting into also.
BTW, the Ultra Mobile SIM kit is the 1gb kit. It's on sale for $10, MSRP $19.

Well they do have a chat but not sure if its a bot. I know google has a pretty decent CustSupp AI system. Even the outgoing AI voice is pretty decent. So I'm sure their chat AI would be possibly hard to recognize.

Would you happen to know the one thing that I think would be most helpful - that is, does the Fi SIM need to stay in the Fi phone for 90 days to maintain the $600 discount? Or can I simply insert the Fi SIM into the Fi phone, and activate it, then like another person mentioned to make a few phone calls and use it a bit (like a day of activity), then simply remove the Fi SIM? Obviously won't be inserting the Fi SIM into any other device.
As I said earlier in this thread, Google cannot know if you turn off the phone with the Fi SIM in it or you took the Fi SIM out and put in a different SIM in the new phone. But if you put the Fi SIM into a different phone and turn it on, Google will know the Fi SIM is registered to a IMEI that is different from the phone they sold you.

I bought the Ultra SIM as it seems to be the cheapest way to get a new number for me to port into a Fi SIM. I am satisfied with my current carrier service and don't want to port my main everyday phone number into Fi, and thus only wanting to get in on this deal for the phone.

But then again, that also goes back to what you and that thread stated, and that is Google can't really track the phone unless the Fi SIM is in a device. Additionally (food for thought from that thread), it's also unfair if I am on their Fi service, and I decide to go on a hike off the grid for 2 weeks, and they took away the discount simply because they couldn't track the SIM or the phone.
Also I seen someone ask About google play gift cards, has this worked? Them just let the account die?
Sorry there is so much to read in this thread, but I'm learning alot!
