Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

It's unlocked, but you need to stay in fi for 90 days to get your $600 discount

Bunch of crooks. I never had a Fi plan for a second, but that was enough for them disqualify my, because I ordered moto phone years ago and cancelled the order within minutes.
How did you order a phone from Fi WITHOUT signing up for a plan?

It depends which specs are important to you.

Lower resolution screen, less RAM and removal of sd-card slot against a faster CPU/GPU and better battery life.
Wrong! The screen resolution of & RAM are the same in S21 & S20, and the screen supports a better refresh rate. Don't spread misinformation. . Don't read specs on websites on which people outside North America post. Wait until Jan 14. S21 Ultra might even have 16 GB RAM.

Please post a link showing US bound S21 will have the same RAM as S20, as well as the screen resolution.

Here's my secret for you: READ!

I asked how did you buy a phone FROM Fi - not FOR Fi

If you didn't buy a phone from Fi, the answer should be "I didn't".

RAM did not decrease - https://www.tomsguide.com/news/sa...galaxy-s21

Resolution - https://www.gsmarena.com/the_gala...-47037.php

As for the resolution, for the cheapest S21, you'd be able to choose a lower resolution at 120 Hz refresh rate, or S20's highest resolution at 60 px refresh rate. So, for the cheapest S21, there are no changes in resolution from S20. There might be some more changes in a 'refresh' 3 months down the line. S21 Ultra would support QHD+ resolution at 120 Hz refresh rate.

I'll get back to you on Jan 14 as well.

Do you have a source for that? Everything I have seen is that the resolution is dropping to 1080p.
From your own link:

The S21 and S21+ are rumored to get 1080p panels
Only the ultra is expected to have 1440p resolution.

I noticed the January 5th 2020 date as well and brought it up a couple days ago in this thread. When I go to my Google fi account and add it, it tries to charge me the $399 on my credit card so I think it is a typo but I never did hit the confirmation order button... Any existing Google fi customer should contact Google fi customer rep to be 100% sure. The problem with Google fi customer service is that they are horrible and clueless from my experience with them.... I got much better customer service from tracfone, t-mobile and redpocket.
I wouldn't trust customer service really.

It will give you the phone discounted but it will charge your card later if you don't meet the requirements. If Jan 5 2020 is a true requirement then we will get charged later on. It will always give you the phone at the discounted even you are not eligible.

S21 and S21+ resolution is downgraded to 1080p compared to S20 and S20+. Don't spread misinformation please.

Only the S21 Ultra has the higher resolution.

Yea. I am going to assume that is the correct date. I would definitely trust the description detail over customer chat rep.... Because it is $600 off, I think they would make the requirements tougher for existing customer. I didn't buy it.

They want the existing google fi customer to be a customer for at least 1 full year with this offer.

You cant do anything now, if you had less than 30 days remaining in the previous offer you could have waited to activate it till the previous offer was completed. Or you could have bought it by adding a new line(called adding a new person in Fi) and get the phone on payment plan if you wanted to use the credits.

Now your best bet is to put the sim back in the old phone and hope the previous offer gets activated again. Return this phone and buy another one by adding a new line

I was able to activate my old phone. Now I have 2 new phones I need to activate. Cant I activate a new line ? I see that I can add a new line. If I add a new line using a different google account and add that line to the existing account will that work ?
