Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

It's unlocked, but you need to stay in fi for 90 days to get your $600 discount

Can you quote it?

That just talks about what is compatible with Fi. I don't see anything mentioning sprint, unless I missed it?
It is in the "Designed for Fi" section

You have full Fi functionality on these devices:
  • Calls, texts, and data on multiple major mobile 4G LTE networks or 5G on T-Mobile's network
  • Pixel 4a and up connect to the Sprint network in a data-only mode when using DSDS (Fi Dual Sim).
  • Samsung phones designed for Fi don't support Sprint's network.
  • Automatic connection to 2 million secure Wi-Fi hotspots
  • Samsung phones designed for Fi will be able to automatically switch among millions of secure Wi-Fi connections in the coming months.
  • International roaming
  • An even more secure connection with Fi VPN

Anyone know how much the $20 plan comes out to for 3 months? or around how much the "taxes & gov't fees" are? Saw someone use "$75" in their breakdown, but not sure where they got that from. Would the "taxes & gov't fees" really only be $15

Thanks

RAM did not decrease - https://www.tomsguide.com/news/sa...galaxy-s21

Resolution - https://www.gsmarena.com/the_gala...-47037.php

As for the resolution, for the cheapest S21, you'd be able to choose a lower resolution at 120 Hz refresh rate, or S20's highest resolution at 60 px refresh rate. So, for the cheapest S21, there are no changes in resolution from S20. There might be some more changes in a 'refresh' 3 months down the line. S21 Ultra would support QHD+ resolution at 120 Hz refresh rate.

I'll get back to you on Jan 14 as well.
for Ultra, they have same ram. But for base model, s20 has 12G and s21 has only 8.

I haven't done it yet, but based on what I read on Fi website, yes that can be done. That is what I plan to do as well.

Once the new line/person is activated, apparently there will be a share credits option show up under Billings which can be used to control whether you want to share your credits with others on your plan.

Trade in credits can be used for both bill payments and device payments, referral credits can be used only for
bill payments
Do we need to port in a number if we go this route ?

thank you.

Uggh, I guess I will give it a try, unless someone already knows whether it works or not.

Sprint merged with TMobile, so does Tello also use TMobile network?

Can we really get this one, and use it to take advantage of the $700 trade-in offer from Samsung to get the S21?
Plus do we know when this offer ends?

You have to keep it for 90 days. But if the Samsung trade for $700 is still valid at that point I don't see why not.

I would have to keep the new Fi number for 90days, but can I not before that already trade this one in for the S21? Does the T&C specifically say I have to keep the phone for 90 days?

Yeah I don't see why you can't just keep the Fi service active for 90 days since that's what the terms state. Doubt Google cares if you keep the phone on hand, since the phone deal is how they want to get you in on the service, then hope you stay with the service for long term.

I'm keeping the phone, however I'll simply activate the Fi SIM and keep it in the phone for 24 hours then remove the Fi SIM into a drawer and use the phone with my main carrier SIM.

The T&C's state that you need to keep it active for 90 days but it isn't totally clear how active is defined.

There are mixed reports from people who participated in previous Fi deals.

Some people are reporting that as long as you don't put the Fi sim in a different phone you will be fine. Others are reporting that the Fi software needs to be running actively on the phone for 90 days. At least one person has reported that putting another sim in the Fi phone has broken the terms.

I just received mine, and successfully ported in Google Fi from Ultra Mobile. But I think I am going to keep it like this until the 90-day period expiresSmilie.

Looks like we're in the same boat. I also got a pre-paid Ultra mobile number to port in for $10. However, I'll activate the service and phone and remove the SIM and use my main SIM because my current phone is on its last legs.

It just took a few minutes to transfer from Ultra Mobile. I turn off mobile data, and will now use the phone as an back up for the next 90 days!

BTW, for the trade in, if we do not want to do that anymore, can we just keep the trade in and not sending it to Google? I have heard really bad stories about Google Trade-in process.

I thought this would stop the 90 day count,
