For anyone who has a S20/S20+/S20 Ultra, have a question: So I'm coming from S10, which has a full screen protector on it already. The S20 seems to have a screen protector, but mine has a hole for the fingerprint scanner, and there's a tab to remove it. So it's not a screen protector?

Just seeing if anyone's removed it and there's another screen protector underneath?

Thanks,
That thing with the tab that peels off super easily is not a screen protector. It is just protective plastic. I don't know if there is a screen protector applied or not underneath it.

I tried to confirm this also by watching unboxing videos, and looks like the only S20 with a fingerprint hole on the plastic protector I saw was a fi version. Other ones have a full plastic screen protector already applied.

Btw, which color did you order? Is it black?

LOL. Of course it's only the Fi version.

I have the light-blue version of the S20. All the unboxing videos that I saw already have the screen-protector on there, so must be all the non-Google Fi versions. That sucks. Wasn't anticipating anything different on the Google Fi phones vs the ones direct from Samsung.

Thanks for letting me know!

Does anyone tried price match on the phone? I purchased it when it was $499 and I am trying to get price match $399 but they are keep saying I meet the condition but need to wait for promotion specialist to contact me which they have not done in 8 days now.

I think there is a screen protector that has been pre-applied. I can feel it when touching the area around the front camera.

Are you talking about the S20 that you got from Fi? Is there a hole cut out near where the fingerprint scanner is?

Placed order on 1/8
Shipped on 1/11
Scheduled delivery 1/13 (tomorrow)

Going to port a straight talk number over and use the service for 90 days. Then switch back.
What color? I ordered gray and assume that is why mine is delayed and everyone reporting quick turnaround is blue?

This is the new promo thread - pretty much everyone here got it for $400. You probably want to post it in the original $500 S20 thread.

A Verizon mvno, Ting. Verizon is the only service that works at my house.

I think Fi has wifi calling - which means you won't have to have actual network signal to make/receive.calls and texts.

You can also forward your Ting calls to your Fi number.
Dalto - any comments?

Edit: Looks like you can use Verizon Messages plus to receive your Ting text messages on your Fi phone.

Yes, but that is only the protective plastic, and you can peel it off easily (I did it right when I received the phone). There is another screen protector underneath, and there is no hole cut out near the fingerprint scanner. But there is a small hole around the Infinity-O punch hole.

Just got the phone today and attempted to port my rarely used other GV number and seemed to work but kept getting snagged on something and eventually asked me to contact GFi for further assistance got a hold of Abdul and he reimbursed my $3 that I spent to unlock my GV number. I had tried to port it over right after unlocking it and it caused some problem. He told to try again in 6 hours. So, I have 28 days to git 'er done. I'll let yall know if it when through.

"Ideally we need to wait for couple of hours after unlocking the number, as you have tried immediately the number was not unlocked.
Abdul · 5:58 PM"

Also, the sim card that was already in the phone was not readable I reinserted it and rebooted to no avail. Thankfully I requested a free SIM card when I ordered the phone and that SIM card worked.
So do we need to unlock the Google voice number and pay$3 or that step is not necessary?
Also, How did you find your Google account number?
I never was billed anything and so looking on my bill, which was advised, is not an option.

Well - that's good news. Thank you.

Edit: I just checked the only S20 Fi unboxing video - and looks like there IS another screen protector underneath - the cut around the FF camera is definitely visible.

How do you like Ting? I'm behind the times but just noticed they are on Verizon now.

I have the S20 from fi. There is a pre-installed screen protector with a cut out for the front camera. The rest of the screen is covered.

There is a second flimsy plastic covering with pull tabs installed over the pre-installed screen protector that is meant to be removed. This is the one with the fingerprint hole cut out. It is supposed to be removed.

I have the S20 plus T-Mobile version purchased from Samsung. I can see the cut out for the front camera. Some dirt is actually accumulating there.
