This is likely for those of you who wanted a new iPhone SE on a cheap plan or as a WiFi device and missed the online Cricket deal for $50. I was kicking myself for missing it so I went on a hunt to find a similar deal.
Before I go into the details of this deal, the Cricket deal had the SE at $50 plus a required $60 plan purchase so $110 plus taxes and a required port-in of a new number. This deal is slightly more expensive after codes but only requires a $25 plan and no port-in so it balances out a bit.
At the moment, this is the best I could find for someone who wants/needs the phone now and can't do the current in-store Cricket deal, which is the same as the online deal.
Please note this phone is locked to Simple Mobile for 12 months but should be usable on other Tracfone family brands. If this is incorrect please let me know and I will edit this information.
The deal:
Go to shop.simplemobile.com and enter an email address for a 25% code when you see the pop up. It doesn't have to be the email you end up checking out with. If you don't get a pop up, open the site in a private/incognito window and that should work.
Wait a minute or two and you should get one (they're one time use).
Select the iPhone SE 64gb and the $25 plan. Make sure you choose the one time payment option for $199.
Enter your code and also enter code SM10OFF.
The price will now be $157.49 pre-tax for the phone and the plan.

No problem, thank you as well for the compliment!
Edit: CB info has been moved to wiki and post title changed to remain compliant with SD rules.
Here's a link to the unlocking policy. Point two says you have to "redeem airtime" for each month.

I'm honestly not very familiar with TF and Simple mobile but I've always wondered if you could do an annual airtime card for barebones minutes/texts/data and then request unlock after the year. I know TF has them but not sure about Simple (Edit: they don't).
Just to note, while you can use the phone on any TF brand, that time apparently does not count towards unlock.
You could also try looking into r-sim to unlock the phone but it comes with possible downsides if this would be your main phone.
Edit: between SD and Reddit, I'm seeing a very YMMV solution to unlock the phone through TF by activating the phone on a TF annual plan ($60 for the year for barebones usage, $20 if you got in on the eBay deal) and then transferring your service to the sim that comes with the phone and keeping it for 12 months.
Someone on page 10 of this thread reported success with this method while someone else said it didn't work for them on a previous phone. Seems highly YMMV at best but may be worth a shot, especially if you have one of the $20 eBay kits you planned on using anyway.

If anyone knows, I'd be interested in that as well.

That being said, the flip side to what I just wrote, is that if you are needing a replacement phone or do want an upgrade, then this SE 2020 deal will almost certainly be a great deal for you. I sure as hell wouldn't splurge the extra $ to get an iPhone 12 or the like. For about $150 this is an awesome phone and it will serve you well for many years.

It's actually $35.20 and I checked before posting to make sure it's still available. As much as I'd like to help further, SD might take down the post if we break the rules here so I can't mention any further details.
However, I know the one you're referring to and it's not that.
The most I could probably say is that there are sites that compare different CB sites. You should be able to find it that way.
I always resell the plan card on ebay for even better slickdeal. It sells pretty fast
