Most of the reviews are by people who received the item for free. How do I sign up for that? This train seems a little pricy even on sale!

How can you guys tell that the reviews are essentially fake from those who've received it for free?

These electric sets are the ones you want to get. The battery powered ones for $100 are just toys you throw away after Christmas. If you want one to set up year after year to go around your tree, get one of these electric powered sets and a probably an extension set if you have a bigger tree or want the train to go around the presents you have under the tree.

When I was a kid, the train that went around my aunt and uncles tree was the best thing ever.

Lionel has like 20 different electric sets with the O-gauge tracks. I decided to go with the Pennsylvania Flyer because I preferred an "authentic" look. Always make sure it's the electric set, not the battery powered.

Right now it's a little higher in price, but it was $210 when I bought mine. You'll love it.

I love my flyer. I caught it slick for $130. Hit the train shows after covid and score 2 for $30 rolling stock. Camel it.

Not necessarily fake but an expectations will be lower vs someone who paid $250+. Also you won't see come back a few months later to complain if it breaks as it was not a purchase but a gift with incentive to write a review
