Once Amazon is managing your Office 365 account, you cannot extend your subscription with an outside purchase like this one. Others can probably explain it in more detail but other Office 365 deal threads have many comments to this effect. If you don't mind always extending your subscription through Amazon purchases then you will be fine but others report having to get a refund on a purchase from another site or let the Amazon subscription lapse then activate the new one.
Normally you can add up to 5 years to a Office 365 account from any source but doesn't work if you have the Amazon subscription.
Whatever happened to just buying the software outright?
How long do I have to activate this? I am stuck with Amazon maintaining my account for another few weeks and need to let that expire before I can get in on a deal outside of Amazon's control.
Never again with Amazon when it comes to 365 subscription...

I recently renewed my 365 subscription through an Amazon deal. What issues have you faced?

A review on Newegg stated that this cannot be added to an existing subscription, which I suspect would be a dealbreaker for many. Can anyone confirm that is the case? Many thanks.

Would I have to activate the Norton, I wonder? I have and use another antivirus that I prefer.

NVM, found just the 365 Personal 12 mth for $53.50 w/code. That'll work.

I can confirm that this is not the case. I have 3 individual 1-year subscriptions added to a single account and I added them on the same day.

Nope, you can activate them separately.

Based on that review, you can just activate it once your subscription expires so if you feel safe storing the key until then, it would still be a good deal.

You can wait to activate it months later if you want.
