Warning flags on these:

model 1 and model 3 have the highest list prices of $53 and $55, respectively. They've also got the most existing reviews (but of course take with a big grain of salt).

Given the discount pricing, it looks like the manufacturer might've just listed the same product w/ subtle cosmetic differences at different prices. After all, it's well known that price does sometimes affect perceived quality...

I bought a slightly different model (N960; if you look at the listing of Model 3, it shows the model N920, but also shows the N960 at a higher price). I bought it about a month ago on a similar SD deal at around $12.

So far - works well, good picture quality, plug and play. Also has a webcam cover which these don't seem to have.

Again - it's a question of price vs expectation, with the plus that you can return it to Amazon if you're not satisfied.

Don't suppose anyone would know if these are compatible with octoprint? A couple spare camera's to watch my 3D printers couldn't hurt.

I bought a similar last month for kids zoom class and it is pretty good. For ten bucks, it is a great value. The picture is clean and clear, and the mic is also sensitive.

All of these generic webcams have serviceable video quality. The real problem is with mic quality. If you pair them with a separate desk-top mic, then you shouldn't have any problems.
