Good deal for the full set if you need that many locking pliers, especially considering the C clamps are in there. I personally prefer the locking and release mechanism on the red handled "durable grip" torque locks. Much smoother than the classic release mechanism.

Thanks for mentioning this. I've never even heard of the Milwaukee torque lock pliers. It definitely looks like an improved design of standard vice grips. Check out this comparison review of vice grip vs. torque lock pliers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-Qasg85ZXM

Does anyone know if Milwaukee sells a durable grip set for their torque locks?

Unfortunately, I've only ever seen the durable grip in a 2 pack (the "4 pack" is just a double 2 without variety). I also haven't seen the C clamps with the durable grip either. Will let you know if I find a larger set. No matter the grip and locking mechanism, the torque lock feature is fantastic. So easy to use.

2 pack of durable grip:

List of Torque Lock Plier Options. Only true set I see is the classic.

I've had this set since ~2017. Only had a handful of cheap Tractor Supply or Harbor Freight locking pliers before this kit.

As said, good deal if you need a bulk back of quality locking pliers.

$99 is the regular sale price of these, paid the same price a few years ago and regularly see them at this price. Never seen for lower.

If one needs it for automotive work, there are oftentimes tight spaces, where only the classic will fit.
