I bought it on sale at this same price 1-2 years ago.
Currently it's driving Quad Z-1 speakers and a sub. Prior to the Quads it was driving my LS-50's with sub. It pairs excellent with both.
I have some minor criticisms about its design.... first is that the knob for selecting input doesn't have strong enough detents (it's easy to overshoot your desired input)... second is that the headphone output gain could be higher (there are three levels of gain provided, but even on the highest setting it still seems conservative to me, but my HifiMan HE560's are notorious for being demanding).

That said, I do see the Marantz here on Slickdeals periodically, so it must be a very good amp, I would assume.
Also, I don't really see a lot of Chi-fi listed here.
And that is why I am not broke. Thank you SD!
It is an asus xonar xense with dvi and optical outs. Ist it possible to hook it up with the Amp?
Also I am confused. Isn't this additional pcie sound card I added to my computer also an Amp itself?
So I am connecting this Amp to another amp?

Even at full MSRP, you can get 'better' value. Just like what a lot of people are saying.
Just some similar alternatives off the top of my head:
sprout, emotiva basx, svs soundbase, yamaha wxa.
If this is all the power you need, the iotavx would be worth a look too?
Or go used... 600$ got me a schiit vidar, modi, sys off hifishark... Seperates gives you a bit more flexibility to piecemeal upgrade as you grow.
Not saying wattage is the be all end all indicator of quality for an amplifier though. I've never heard this product so maybe it's good.
But overall I do think using a built-in DAC is not advisable. Typically built-in DACs are an afterthought for manufacturers.
I've owned the IotaVX SA3, which was a great sounding integrated amplifier, but you don't want to use the built-in Wolfson DAC as your source. It does not sound very good. Pick up the Schiit Modi 3+, Cavalli Liquid Spark, or Topping E30 to use as a DAC for $99-129.
Also agree with buying used whenever possible, you get so much more value.
Anyways, looks like this deal is dead (sold out).
But you can still buy it refurbished for $100 cheaper as of this posting:

@ Trent. I completely agree. I noticed a bigger improvement in sound quality with a modi dac vs AVR dac [hk3490].. albeit the avr is old. +soundstage width, +instrument separation (clarity).
Comparing AVR vs. Standalone amp was noticeable, but less so-- +headroom, +depth
Nonetheless, its great to see Audio gear on Slickdeals. We definitely need more contributions to this category! And while I don't think its FP worthy, others might.
