In-store only, difference price than online
This computer is on clearance
If your store does not have it, you can pay for it and then get it shipped from an available store
It's $200 less than online / comparable
Likely because this is probably 8th generation chip and there's a new one out. Who knows.
Honestly first time I've done this so YMMV
Ask to search by SKU 24435796

- this is in-store clearance
- limited stock in-store only
- not available online, do not use online search but ask a store employee instead
- not every employee knows how to access this so you may have to explain to them you want to them to "help order from another store that has stock and ship to their store"
Steps
- call / go into a store to see if they have it - ask to search by sku
- if they don't, ask if there is a nearby store that has it
- if there is available at another store, call to confirm; you can ask them to hold it if you want to pick up in person
- or, if the store with stock is too far away, ask an employee from a store near you to order from the store with laptop and ship to the store near you
- you will have to pay for the laptop when the order is placed, then pick up when the laptop has been shipped
- not every staff knows this is possible (even the manager at the store I was at didn't know this and had to do some research)
- I don't know how far a store they can do this for. For me, the nearest available store was 1.5 hours driving away.

But major down points are 1035G1 CPU which is closer to 8th gen CPU than 10th, TN 250nits display, soldered RAM with no extra slot for upgrade.
Good points would be full HD screen, backlit keyboard and m2+2.5" hard drive option so two drives can be installed and used.

That is all good info. But you have to maintain a realistic outlook... Had this machine had those additional options etc, it would certainly be higher than it's current price.
In other words. this machine isn't bad for it's price range, could be slightly better but competitive.
I only mention any of this simply because people on SD tend to put down a machine with unrealistic demands on hardware while maintaining a budget price point.
Assuming you didn't finish reading the post. 🙏🏻 can order it in store lol

Plus instruction is vague on how you can order it. Do you walk into the store and ask for this to be order to ship to said store? Do you call?
Sorry it's my first post. The title autopopulated; link was required even though it's in-store only.
Walk into the store and ask to be shipped to the store. They have to do a search for in-store stock. See the first comment for a pic of the pricing in-store.
I will told to do this by one staples store but another didn't know what I was talking about so it's all a little disorganized on Staples' end.
I went to the store they wouldn't order it for me online
..
You have to ask them to order from another store that has it, not online, and shipped to that store. Not everyone knows how to do it I had to push a little
