Because the OP is for AAA batteries and you are linking AA batteries
I'm no expert but have both eneloop and eneloop pro. My experience is the eneloop pros have more capacity but they do leak faster (aka they are noticeably below full capacity if they in in a drawer for a few weeks). So i buy eneloop for low draw things like remotes and eneloop pros for quick drain things like my kid's toy cars.

Also, I believe the higher capacity difference for eneloop AA regular vs pros is a lot more noticeable than for the AAA version. So I usually end up not spending the extra $$ for AAA eneloop pros.

Very good deal. The IKEA aaa cost $7 for 4 so this is a good deal for those that do not have IKEA close by.

Compared to recent deals on good-quality rechargeable AAA batteries, is this a good/great/excellent deal? If someone who is knowledgeable on the subject would reply and share some feedback, it would definitely be appreciated.

Also, if anyone knows of, or comes across, a similarly good deal on some good-quality AA rechargeable batteries, please feel free to post a link.

Edit: I just saw a listing for some Amazon Basic pre-charged rechargeable AAA batteries for $13.49, with a 20% off coupon available for Subscribe & Save on the first order. It looks like they have over 140,000 reviews and around a 4.5/5 star rating. And that's for 12 AAA batteries. Is that as good a deal as I'm thinking it is?

I do see IKEA mentioned in all of the Eneloop threads. Even if you have an IKEA nearby (I have one that is a half hour drive from me - in light traffic), so a special trip just for batteries does carry its own cost. Also, I read a thread that was dedicated to Eneloop batteries and they mentioned that IKEA batteries were made in the same factory in Japan, but that some newer IKEA versions (where batts were brown in color vs white) were actually made in China. It's also not clear that the IKEA batts that may still be made in Japan (the white ones) have the exact same chemistry as the Eneloops.

If somebody has evidence confirming otherwise, then please feel free to advise.

Only 800 mAh?

Why not get the 2100 mAh ones from Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-High-Capacity-Rechargeable-Batteries-Pre-charged/dp/B00HZV9WTM/r... [amazon.com]

Project Farm on Youtube tested these, and verified that they are the best rechargeable batteries for the money.

I was in need of AAA rechargeables, and recently ordered the same AmazonBasics S&S 20% off deal. No testing data to back it up, but I always have great success with AmazonBasics AAA. I would probably still go with Amazon, even with eneloops discounted price. But you should be set either way.

However, eneloop AA, pretty much unbeatable. I've made up my mind to go strictly eneloop for AA going forward, just waiting for a sale.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I'm tempted to go ahead and buy a 12-pack of those Amazon Basics AAA batteries right now, while the 20% off S&S coupon is still available.

I have to ask, though, why do you seem to have an Eneloop preference for the AA batteries, but not with the AAA batteries? Do you think there's actually a difference in quality with the battery sizes, when it comes to the Amazon Basics?

I bought 2 aaa pack 3 days ago and they are made in Japan. Also, the brown batteries as far as I know are discontinued. The laddas are as good as the eneloop, some say that the laddas are eneloop themselves.

Any opinion on eneloop pro? One of my new year's resolutions is to start using rechargeable batteries. I prefer high capacity to avoid frequent switching. That was the reason I never liked using rechargeables. Price is not a factor for me.

Supposedly IKEA sells rechargeable batteries for a cheaper price and they have a larger capacity. I've seen that posted before on here, but haven't looked into it.

edit: guess I should have refreshed the page before commenting. you guys got that all covered. haha
