Just here to say the world needs more people who worry about whether their neighbors can hear their blender.
How is the noise? I have an older model ninja. I like to make protein shakes for breakfast at like 6am. But I live in an apt and I feel like my neighbors can hear it.
Plenty of nutri ninja 1200w on ebay for $39.99

Surprised to hear the comment that it is as good as Vitamix. Have not heard that in the past. I have this blender, generally happy with it. Used to make smoothies a lot with it, pretty good except I did notice some small pieces when I used greens in the smoothie (kale, spinach, etc).

Other than that, very happy with it, especially good at this price!

I had a completely different experience, bought it for 50 mid last year and returned it, the 72Oz jar it comes with is too big for single (or even double servings)

I returned it. Jar was starting to crack and motor was starting to make abnormal noises after a month of usage (I only blended smoothies, once a week). It did blend pretty well tho. The blade design wasn't the best for cleaning , can easily cut yourself if not careful.

I see the deal you are talking about. Is that a better buy than the Ninja in terms of performance ?

Not really sure what the difference is and if one is superior than other

Is the jar plastic or glass?

I own this set for a year. If you plan to use it occasionally, it should be a perfect fit. However, I would go with Vitamix for daily use. The jar in this blender is cheap and easy to be damaged.

I think performance is similar, had the same question when I was looking for a blender. I chose the ninja after seeing some reviews/news articles of the nutri blender container literally blowing up after blending for a period of time. No idea if they fixed the issue though. Just a heads up this blender and previous versions have issues with the container cracking or breaking.

We just got a Ninja 1500W professional plus and have been using for smoothies every day for last two months. Overall it's not bad but would highly recommend Vitamix after reading & watching more reviews and comparing my experience with Ninja.
Performance with the smaller 16oz jars is way better than the 72oz which is the only one that comes with above model. I would never use 72oz for smoothies after trying it out 2-3 times and disappointed with the results.
