How is the noise? I have an older model ninja. I like to make protein shakes for breakfast at like 6am. But I live in an apt and I feel like my neighbors can hear it.
Just here to say the world needs more people who worry about whether their neighbors can hear their blender.

Why are these blenders from Kitchenaid and Ninja have plastic containers while cheap blenders like Oster, Black & Decker, and Hamilton Beach have glass containers? Are the plastics being used better than glass?

Plastic (technically tritan) but yeah. I have had the larger auto iq version for close to two years and eventually the safety mechanism broke so it runs without the jar being on the base. The nutri ninja cups also no longer work since the sensor on the base is broken so I can only use the larger pitcher. I assume this one will be better built since it's no frills single jar manual operation however. I went back to a 25 year old mixer grinder which is still working

Generally the plastic used in higher end blenders should be more durable than glass containers. Glass tends to shatter when you drop it. Plastic containers weigh less than a glass one. This can make them easier to handle, depending on the user.

I think it comes down to personal preference.

Higher end blenders tend to have stronger motors that usually do a better job at blending. Can blend a larger variety of stuff.

Cheap blenders have weaker motors that sort of do the job at blending depending on what you want to blend. Might be perfectly fine for some use cases.

Plenty of nutri ninja 1200w on ebay for $39.99
Be careful with that. The seller I saw at $40 was based out of Australia, selling in the US, and had rep score of 6. Screams of being a scammer. Ebay will reimburse you, but you will have to deal with the hassle.

Just my $.02. I bought this and had to return in less than a week due to the plastic cracking. Seemed to blend well but doesn't rly matter if it won't last

Might as well buy a wood chipper or planer. These things make earplug manufacturers stay in business. laugh out loud
