Incredible picture quality for the price. The contrast ratio is better than many TVs that cost double.

Brightness is a bit disappointing and not great for gaming.

If you are looking for a TV not for gaming and you have little HDR content, doesn't get much better at this price.

RTINGS Comparison...
The LG UN6970 is slightly better than the Hisense H6510G, but they have different panels. The UN6970's IPS panel has wide viewing angles and gets brighter. It also has a much quicker response time and lower input lag. However, the Hisense has a VA panel with a much better contrast ratio and it has much better gradient handling.

What's more important to you? Does quality and reliability mean a lot to you? You getting the extended warranty?

80% TV use, Hisense..... 80% monitor/PC/games use LG.... 50/50 LG

Live sports and kids Netflix content? Also, how is the android interface on this? The one on my Sony is def a little laggy. Much prefer my $280 Westinghouse's Roku interface to be honest.

This Hisense would be PERFECT to replace the bedroom TV a little tornado threw a marble at last November. Everything is _acceptable_ to me for the price and size, including the very low brightness levels (it's usually dark in the bedroom when we watch) EXCEPT for this one thing-

Flicker-Free : 4.7 ( out of 10)
Hisense H6510G Backlight chart
Flicker-Free : No
PWM Dimming Frequency 180 Hz
This TV uses Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) to dim its backlight. It flickers at 180Hz at any backlight setting below 100, which may cause image duplication.

Everything besides that I can live with, but PWM modulation like that gives me headaches and even the wife hates it.

BTW, if you buy this, make sure to follow Rting's Calibration Advice to get decent picture quality!

Just so people are aware.... Flicker only occurs with hi speed movement. NOT recommended for people who watch a lot of bright scenes/sports/games. Fine 99.9% of the time for tv shows/movies/pc. The vast majority of people will be able to live with an occasional glitch..... At $650 with the extended warranty, I'd recommend this brand to anyone. Gamers/sports fanatics already know this tv is not for them. Casual users in these genres will also do just fine.

Also, the brightness is good for most people. People using this with sunlight on it also already know this tv is not for them.... I wish people wouldn't be so hard on their "reviews" as they're turning off casual users when in fact most lowly rated sets are great for most peoples uses..... In fact, I'd say anything rated on Rtings with an average over 6.0 will make most people perfectly happy.
