Sorry for the clunky title, but I could not think of a better way to word it
Also, I am not really sure if it a PSA , or a deal 'per se', but it could be argued that by using the information in this posting , you will be able to save lots of money.
I will let the forum police be the judges
Final caveat, this may be old information for some, but others (like myself as of a week or so ago), this was very welcome news and has already helped me immensely! I was not able to find an official post detailing this information, so I decided to create one myself.
In several Lowes related threads, posters had mentioned that you could sign up for a Lowes for Pros account for free, even if you are not a contractor.
One big benefit of having this type of account is that items that are marked as "unavailable for ordering online", you are now able to order online for in store pickup. Using this method, I was able to take advantage of several deals that did not allow for in store pickup.
To access the associated Lowes For Pros version of a Lowes listing, simply add "forpros" to the www . lowes . com url. You will then be able to see the Lowes for Pros listing and (potentially) be able to order the item for in store pickup.
You will need to create a separate account, but I simply used my lowes email and password, and used my name as the company name. You can also leave the business tax ID fields blank when signing up.
Finally, I had a post a long time ago that had a link to all lowes clearance items sorted by price.
My main link for this post will be the Lowes for Pros version of this link, so you can see all clearance items for a given store and possibly be able to find something good for in store pickup!
Enjoy!

1. Slickdeals is a site that allows people to post deals, which sometimes includes mistakes, loopholes etc.. I for one (and I am sure everyone else here) has benefitted at one point or another from one of these posts.
2. If someone does happen to stumble onto a legitimate loophole or deal, but does not post because they do not want it taken down, then why bother having a deal sharing site at all? Maybe we all need to create our own individual deal sites and only invite a select few people in as we deem worthy.
3. Where did all of you first learn about the LowesForPros trick? I would guess that it was either on slickdeals or some other deal site or blog. By actively encouraging others to not post deal they fine, you are only shooting yourself in the foot as more people will now not want to post stuff in the future.
4. I personally just learned about this trick through a comment someone posted on another thread. If not for that comment, I would have never known about this .
5. I am not really sure there is anything to kill here? They have the site setup, and it allows anyone to register for free. Whatever changes were made to lowes . com in the past I am sure would have been made regardless.
I am truly not trying to be snarky or ruffle feathers here, but I just get annoyed when people encourage others not to share information . If we are not going to share things like this, then what is the point of having sites like these?
I look forward to CIVIL counter viewpoints

Lowes for Pros, according to the fine print, was created for bigger businesses to have a more streamlined website experience. one of the by products of that is, apparently, better inventory management on the website. No where was I able to see that the average joe blow could not sign up for Lowes for Pros.
And again, IF (big IF) this is a loophole that is being exploited, can someone please tell me why only a select few individuals should know this knowledge?
I know I am preaching to deaf ears, but still, it really annoys me when some people pick and choose what should be shared. If we are not sharing any and all deals, what is the point of having sites like these?
