So, will these still have the free person detection? And/or will it go away once you update to the latest firmware?

(for people who opted in by the deadline; I can't remember if it was per camera, or for all cameras)

V3 doesn't come in black...at least not yet. So the black color might fit in better for some depending on their needs

With the micro sd card you get recordings 24/7. Without paying extra a 12 sec video is uploaded to the cloud that tags the motion event.

Not a bad price but know that the V3 has much better video quality. 12 sec clips, yes, if you do not insert an SD card or have the $1.99/month service to record and backup all video.

The past couple years wyze came out with the black cams on black friday for a limited time. My local HD put them on clearance about this time of year for around $10, I picked up a couple back then. I scored a better deal at Petsmart a couple weeks ago getting 2 Wyze pan cams, marketed as pet cams for $6 each.

Yup, I remember last year finding a bunch at ten bucks and buying them. Didn't even use all of them, still sitting in a drawer. I never updated the firmware on mine and the unused ones should still be the original firmware.

I was these yesterday at one of the Home Depots in Winston Salem NC. They had several next to the white cameras in the A/V section. I have switched our house to all Eufy cameras but was mighty tempted to get some.

That was the preorder price. No idea how much it will actual retail for.

(In hindsight, I should have preordered 5-12 of them; I only preordered three, and am regretting it)
