Good price for a camera with parking mode and IMX323 senors, although I wish instead of an interior cam, it had a camera for the back of the car.

Helpful when a cop Claims you're using your phone or not wearing your seatbelt. Can also show you're not at fault during an accident.

In the box, there was a card with support email to get the hardwire kit for free. I also asked for a suction cup mount and they sent that out for free as well. $15.99 + $5 value.

How does parking mode work unless you wire this to constant-on fuse, but then you run the risk of draining the battery.

I would very much prefer side facing cameras, or at least 2 wide angle cameras on either side facing inside so it can record sides of the vehicle a little bit. For rear, your best bet is to set up 2nd camera individually.

I am looking for a low-profile dashcam, I doubt this would be good with the way it mounts, and probably wire dangling from the side since you have space from glass to the dashcam and not mount-powered like Viofo cams.

Does that work with other cams as well? I see there is hardwire kit with low voltage cut off but that connects to fuse box.
I was considering mirror tap for cleaner install but I think that gets complicated.

How does this hook up to power? I assume you don't have a cord running down the windshield to the 12v supply?

A lot of the hardwire kits have an inline device that senses the voltage and turns the device off if the battery drops below 12 volts. Here's an example.

I installed a dashcam in my girlfriends car this past weekend with a hardwire kit, wasn't too difficult actually. Just need to choose a kit that has the same USB port as the cam and same voltage output as well. You just go into your car manual to see what fuse is always on while the engine is off, sometimes accessory outlets are the ones that are always on. Make sure you get a hardwire kit that comes with a fuse adapter or as it's called "add a fuse" so you can use two fuses in one port.

See that always on feature can drain the battery down. That's why there is that kill feature. 12 V/20 amps Solar Panel/Solar Controller for your dash and installed tiny 12V Rechargeable lithium Ion battery use on motor bikes. Your vehicle battery get trickle charge at the same time you keep the cam running off the 2nd battery.

Does anyone know if this would work with a battery pack. I'm thinking I could leave a battery pack connected to my car so it charges when I drive and then connected to the camera. Does anyone know if this would work? If not how long do you think a 10,000mah battery would last? Thanks to SD I have several laying around.

I have the Vanture N2 Pro. Good camera but it's pretty sad you have to spend $21 to get the optional GPS receiver just to be able to record speed when driving. Who on earth came up with that idea?

Actually that's exactly it. Comes with a USB cable and 12V to 2 USB charger. You can email support when you get it and request a free hardwire kit so you can plug it into your ODB port instead. Or you can buy it on Amazon and eBay for $16.

Tim Cook thinks he has potential. Might poach him/her for the Apple car team.
