It's ok as a still camera but it's really focused more on video. For real estate shots is probably fine. The lens isn't the best option. With the crop factor it's the equivalent of 32mm. Generally for real estate you want was wide as possible. 24mm is about the max your want to go. Something like a 14-24mm (after crop factor) zoom would be ideal.
That is misinformation, the GH4 and your new GH5 and all other micro four thirds cameras have the same exact size cropped-sensor. If yours suffered then you probably did not have it set up correctly (ISO or some other setting was wrong.)
I own a GH4 and a bunch of other cameras, the GH4 like most mirrorless cameras is amazing in low-light compared to virtually anything with a small sensor like a phone, GoPro, most camcorders, etc. Any M4/3 camera is going to be somewhat inferior to APS-C or FF as the tradeoff for having a more-portable body and lens, but most people won't notice the quality difference since it is like 10x better than most phone cameras, whereas APS-C is 12x better.
It's great. Goes to 4K. It's one of the first cameras that offered this, but now it has many competitors. It's used by many YouTube creators. You may want to upgrade to something newer though if you can afford it. It doesn't have quite as many videos recording settings and bells and whistles as newer stuff, but it's good at this price point.
I made a full wedding video for my long time friends wedding. It was a rental, I used just the lumix 12-35 version 1. No gimbal, just a rig to mount the lights and mic. It was shot in the flat profile and graded in premiere, everything is 4K except the slow mo. I liked it a lot but I don't do videos a lot so I didn't get one for myself. Let me know if the link worked.

Anyone that owns this camera that can tell me how video recording quality is?

That's great info, thanks! I'm looking to do some recording for YT so I've been waiting for a good camera deal to fall in my lap. Torn on investing in something better or get a good deal and learn with that.

I record classical music concerts on 3 of these. Incredible cameras. Unlimited 4k at a high bit rate. Perfect.

only thing i will say is that the autofocus on this camera is not very good. also this camera does not do so good in low light. it will be better than a phone, but newer cameras will do a bit better. just to let you know.
How's this camera for pictures? My gf wants a camera for her Instagram and blog pictures and I would like a camera to shoot home movies. This the best of both worlds for video and photography?
Edit: home movies as family get togethers and holidays.

Canon sounds like a good bet, good jpeg images straight from camera and they have 4K now too.
I've owned this before prior to upgrading to a GH5. It's really great for video. However, for photos, it really suffers in low light conditions due to the cropped sensor.
