Credit to Ewing33855 on their deal for the 7x which is now OOS.

I've been looking at the Arctis SteelSeries 9x for a while now due to its ability for audio and microphone on Xbox Series X and PC via Bluetooth, and audio (only but no microphone) via Playstation 4/5. The discount finally pushed me to buy one for myself.

Regular Price: $199.99

This works 100% on xbox wirelessly? I've bought a few that say wireless for xbox and there not. Have to plug it into my controller still.

Did anyone get charged a foreign transaction fee? I paid with PayPal and it said it was being billed out of Denmark. I know the company is based out of Denmark but cant imagine being billed a foreign transaction fee being that's it's shipping from California.

Edit: found this on their website. Had I known, I would have used one of my cards that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees. Oh well. Just make sure you use an appropriate card.

We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards and PayPal. However, we are currently not able to accept pre-paid Visa cards. Please be aware that transactions are made through a European server - if your credit card is not activated to handle payments to a foreign country then you will need to use another card or PayPal.

Honestly trying to decide between arctis 9, TB gen 2 and black shark v2 pro. I wanna get the best for GAMING with great surround sound, hearing footsteps, pinpointing gunshots. Gotta have the Bluetooth feature. Maybe drop x sennheiser too.

If you want the best and money isn't an issue I'd go with the audeze penrose

I can only speak to my own experience. I used the RIG 800LX, Arctis 7x, Astro A50, and Turtle Beach Stealth 700 all within a short span of time. The Arctis 7x had the worst microphone in terms of picking up background noise, by far. The TBs are probably the best in that respect, with the A50s a close second.

I keep the Xbox Party overlay enabled so I can see exactly when my mic is transmitting to the party. Popped up most frequently with the 7x headset.

Same experience

I tested every 150-200+ headset and the mics are just too damn sensitive

I couldn't swallow or lean forward in my chair without everyone in party chat hearing it. Smh

Stuck with the turtle beach 700, they might not sound as good but they check all the boxes well enough

Is this much of an upgrade from a Phillips 9500 with a vmoda boom pro? TIA
I don't think anything really is personally. I just love the setup. I might invest in an amp. If I find my amp soon I'll let you know

Thanks. Was going to try a miio a3 last year when you could get them for less than $50 (pre covid), now $70. But I'm getting by with what the controller is outputting.

This headset is utter garbage and steelseries support is nonexistent (like, you literally can't contact anyone nor can you submit a ticket on their website). $200 garbage with no recourse.
