Its per pencil. Just tried. Almost walked with 72 for 18c bent green for more boxes got in way and she is like it per pencil I think. Haha

Shows the MSRP is 0.20 so I doubt this is a 72 pack. I ordered a couple at store near me just in case.

So...my store went ahead and canceled the order and then sold me all they had on hand (less than the 72 or 50) for the $.20. Rock on SD!

There is a Dixon 72-pack one for 33 cents as well. Shows item count of 72 in the details. This may be a similar description problem for pencils at Lowe's
