S21+ is a downgrade from S20+ in every category except larger battery. So why would anyone upgrade? Are we dumb or is Sammy crazy??

If I use the SHOP app on my galaxy NOTE 10+, I can get the price down about 75$ less than if I try going through a web browser, but I still want the RKT 10% CB... anyone know how to do that either ON a device or getting the same discounts to flow through on the web? I'm using the same account, same SAVE@ WORK account, same YOURGALAXY1RESERVEWA extra code?

Features removed from S21 Series
SD Card Slot
Charger Brick
Wired Earbuds
MST (Samsung Pay magnetic field tech)
Less RAM (S21/S21+)
Lower maximum display resolution (S21/S21+)
Plastic back replacing glass (S21)

"Less RAM and Display" comments are meaningless, even if #s on spec shows different num, ofcourse Samsung wont slow thier flagship phone than last year modell
Yea dude whatever, keep holding on your Samsungs, the rest of us smart ones are moving on...

Attachment 9789784Trading my 50% Samsung code. This works with S21/S21/S21 Ultra. The final cost of S21 Ultra is $570. $250 Samsung credit extra and no trade in. This is part of insight survey. See attached screenshot. pm for trade.

EDIT: Stacks with trade in. Straight 50% off after trade in value.

So I just called Sprint and was able to pre-order the 256 GB S21 Ultra for $1,249 + Tax (paid in monthly installments) but get back a total of $800 applied directly to my monthly bills (over 24 months) for trading in my S9+. In summary, I'd be paying $450 + tax to own the S21 Ultra after two years after trading in my S9+. Not bad at all. Seems like a much better deal than going directly through Samsung and trading my current device, in this particular case.

Pixel 1 has lifetime, unless Google changes it, all others only has it for a couple years.
My experience with these "life time" claims is this is the life time of the product, not your life time. So when they discontinue Pixel 1, which might be soon consider how old the product is, the "life time" promises go away as well...

Anyone see/recommend a clear hybrid GLASS backed case with soft TPU edges/corners? I am seeing a lot of hybrid polycarbonate, but I prefer the feeling of glass.

At least Samsung is for the most part upfront about what's inside of their devices. Apple on the other hand won't even tell you the battery capacity in the iPhone 12.
Is the S21 an upgrade in all aspects to the S20.? Maybe maybe not..but the S21 Ultra sure is.
Not an option for people that doesn't want large phone. Now Samsung flagship means you can't have premium smaller compact size phone. Thanks for not giving some of us that option Samsung.

Typically I would agree with you, but every major electronics news source says they did so in order to lower the cost of the phones this year. The Ultra is an improvement other than losing MST and SD card (who doesn't already have a power brick or earbuds). The S21 & S21+ are cost-cutters, but I bet most of the people won't notice the difference. I already pre-ordered the S21 Ultra, but I'm thinking of cancelling and getting a used S20+ or Ultra as I don't change phones often. Currently on S8 and probably would have been fine if I hadn't been using a work S10e as my primary until last week.

But should you really have to compromise for what is a flagship phone? And you can get last years model for cheaper with more specs?
I'm going to be paying about $600 after taxes for an S21 which will includes buds+, a smart tag, 4 months of youtube premium, and a wireless charger.

S20 used right now costs over $500. I'm locked into a 1 year prepaid ATT plan so carrier/transfer deals don't apply to me.

Beyond all that, I'm not compromising on anything. The features I'm giving up are things that would literally go unused.

Benefits to the S21 for me:
Longer software support
current gen S888 processor
Most likely better camera image processing (although probably minor)
Better, larger fingerprint scanner (Which I'll use dozens of times a day)
Flat screen, which I personally prefer, but without being as wide a phone as the S20 FE

A lot of people are acting like the S21 is all downgrades but for me it is virtually all positive while costing virtually the same.

samsung is killing off the note with this model if they hold to there press release last year, the biggest selling point of the Droid has always been the SD card slot so you can add memory as needed unlike Apple. The stylus is going away as well, just be sure you grasp what you are agreeing to purchase. I have the note 20 ultra 5g and there is no way in the world I would trade it in for a 700 dollar credit on a phone that is only months old and cost 1500 dollars

Its comical that people are on here finding ways to cry about how Samsung was able to DECREASE the price of their newest flagship models while still installing the most expensive Qualcomm 800 series chip to date.
